The Old Lambing Yard

The Old Lambing Yard is luxury boutique hotel from the creators of Pipe and Glass, with an emphasis on absolute comfort with touches of real luxury, the four rooms have been converted from buildings at South Dalton’s Old Lambing Yard. Visitors are welcomed by the delightful scene of a ewe with two lambs, created especially by leading Yorkshire sculptor Emma Stothard.

With a nod to the building’s original function, they’re named Jacob, Lincoln, Swaledale and Ryeland – four of the more unusual breeds of sheep. Each room creates a sense of tactile elegance with crisp linens, furs (faux, of course!), velvets and woollens in the bedrooms contrasted with slate, stone and mirrors in the bathrooms.

The branding had to independently and along side the parent company - Pipe and Glass. The branding suite was designed in conjunction with the re-brand of the existing rooms at Pipe and Glass (now The Garden Rooms).
